Trauma Support Groups was created to provide a safe and supportive space where people who have experienced difficult or life-altering events can come together in shared understanding. Many people navigating trauma, loss, or major life disruption can feel isolated in their experiences. Our aim is to offer a place where individuals can connect with others who may have walked similar paths, allowing for shared stories, shared connection, and shared recovery.
Through small, guided groups, participants have the opportunity to be heard, to learn practical emotional tools, and to gain insight into how trauma can affect thoughts, feelings, and relationships. Our approach is strengths-based and trauma-informed, focusing on creating a respectful environment where people can rebuild confidence, restore a sense of safety, and move forward at their own pace.
Shared space. Shared stories. Shared strength.

Trauma Support Groups offers online non-clinical support groups led by experienced, trauma-informed facilitators for adults healing from sudden trauma and traumatic experiences.
What Happens in Our Groups
At Trauma Support Groups, our groups bring together adults who share similar life experiences — whether that’s domestic violence, sexual assault, grief and loss, serious medical illness, relationship betrayal, or critical incidents.
The heart of our groups is connection.
Many people find that one of the hardest parts of trauma is feeling isolated or misunderstood. In our groups, you meet others who genuinely understand — not because they’ve studied it, but because they’ve lived it.
Each group is facilitated by trauma-informed counsellors who create a safe, respectful space where participants can share at their own pace. There is no pressure to speak before you’re ready. Listening, joining in, and being heard are equally valued.
Through guided conversation, shared stories, and gentle structure, participants often experience reduced shame, increased clarity, and a renewed sense of strength.
Participants are screened prior to entry to ensure they are suitable for a group format. The focus is not on reliving trauma, but on finding steadiness and support alongside others walking a similar path.
Shared space. Shared stories. Shared strength.
